why people always go for texas holdem !! and why not draw poker

may i know the reasons!!

I grew up on 5 card draw, and will always enjoy a good game of it.

TV played a huge part IMO of making hold'em so big, and we must not forget about Chris Moneymaker...thanks to him it set the online poker industry on fire .

Hold'em was a game that we never played here in my parts (South Eastern U.S.), it was always stud or draw.

i think TV played a huge factor in it, but also the game has more thought in it

Texas Holdem is a community card game, meaning that some cards are dealt face up in the middle of the table and shared by all players. Each player is dealt two pocket or hole cards which they consider with the five community cards to make the best possible five-card hand.
