A buddy & I were playing nickel anny, when we both had a straight
(my hand) ace,king,queen,jack,ten,

(his hand) ace,king,queen,jack,duce, (wild card)

he swore he was the winner as did I, and I still believe I was.
however being in his house I didn't want to argue to much, or pull out the six gun and #$%^@& ,,, lol. I don't remember the suits and that is irrelevent, but I am just looking for confirmation as to show him he LOST,,,lol... thanks any info is appreciated. satphat58

My take is that it would be a split pot . You both had the same hand...the only way the suits would have came into play would have been if they were both st8 flushes .

Gotta hate them wild cards . lol

i was playing in a friendly 2 dollar limit game and guys were calling all the way to the freaking 7th card. when i mentioned that it had to be in your first two cards others disagreed and i really didnt know the official ruling. i guess it can be played both ways.

thats the thing. with table tops I would think a cabinet scraper would be ideal. Cuz guys I never used a card scraper in my life, so im guessing it would take some touch and finesse to really get good results. But oh well ill get both cuz theyre not so expensive. Thanks so much for your replies
