What are the stars at the side of your name panel for?

I am not totally sure what the stars are for but i am under the impression (from comments i have read) that you are awarded stars for the amount of hands played and how many you win.It starts off with 3 bronze then 3 silver and finally 3 gold.Of course if you would like a more detailed and accurate assessment of what the stars mean then feel free to contact support and i am sure they will point you in the right direction.:)

The stars started as a way to reward players for lots of play. However they serve absolutely no purpose now except to show the entire table you are a long time online player. Kind of like the accolades. I love to have a couple of freeroll winner ribbons on my left.:D

under your settings you can hide the stars and even any accolades you have won. I do that sometimes, some people do not give newbies credit for playing good so it makes for some fun.
