After taking some bad beats like having top set runner runner'd by backdoor straight in NLHE SnG's (See thread: J K to call 2 all ins? Sure why not, as well as my entire thread of Online Poker Math) then switching to FLHE cash games and getting chipped away bit by bit (see thread: instant mike like tilt trigger), my 20 AA's dealt has won me only 9 pots.

I am now broke, down 300 dollars from a bankroll I built up from playing sound poker, tight and aggressive, as of right now, I am down to my last 25 dollars of chips in Pokerstars.

So I turn to the people on this forum, are there any known Karma Cleansing techniques (I'm not kidding, this is gotten beyond funny) to help with my luck, which if by my calculations are right, I have lost 39 out of 106 hands in which I am 90-95% favor going into the river, of which 96 out of those 100 I was at least 3 to 1 preflop, aka AK vs A2, or even hands like AA vs A10. My pairs of higher than 10 when facing 2 undercards has won a total of 12 out of 62 hands, out of which my KK and AA has won only 40% when I play them.

Although I'm sure there are some bingo playing donkeys that I have made very happy and giddy, I am serious about my game and wish to take it to the next level and play professionally possibly, Even though I'm sure at some point, people had down swings, I'm failed to learn of one in which anyone is getting slapped around as badly as I have during the past month, so I ask in seriousness, if there are anything at all that can help me get pass this slump which has led to a week's worth of eye shadow and a mild case of depression (the medical kind).

Thank you.

I find that a break really helps ( a good time to read ) and sometimes a new site does a world of good . If you don't know the other games , draw , stud, ect. read up on them and maybe give them a shot as well ....I find the small sng's are an easy way to build the bankroll back up too . And don't forget what I consider the most important thing to learn in poker . Bankroll Management , so many forget all about that.....

I hope you the best .

I tend to agree with Skinski, a break and some reading or watching poker can be a help. Change of site can be a good idea. If you`re looking to build a roll try the beginners sngs on Bodog. They pay 5 places (although 5th place actually loses a few cents) and are nicely structured allowing for tight aggressive poker. They run from $2+20 up to $16 and are probably the best way to build a bankroll.

The other alternative is to try a new game, 7 stud, omaha etc. If you do your reading before playing these games offer a better edge than NLHE. Be aware tho that stud games and to some degree omaha are drawing games, people will chase sometimes.

Well I decided to keep a little record of my flopping luck in FLNE cash game.

when i got AK: flop comes 3 5 9, turn 6, river 6
when i got AJ: flop comes 2 9 8, turn 4, river 10

when i got 99: flop comes A K J, turn K, river 10
when i got JJ: flop comes A A Q, turn Q, river K
when i got AA: flop comes 2 2 6, turn 6, river, J
when i got KK: flop comes 5 5 A, turn 10, river 10
when i got QQ: flop comes A 2 7, turn 2, river 10....guess what the other guy had???
when i got 88: flop comes 2 3 6, turn, 7, river, 4....guy had 2 3....

my KK vs someone's 10 10, flop: 9 K 8, turn 7, river 6

In my current session, I've won 2 out of 19 hands at showdown, playing top 10 hands such as AA, KK, QQ, AK, AQ, JJ, 10 10, etc.

and oh yea, that includes a up and down straight flush draw loosing to some guy's 2 10, he won with the paired 2, 21 outs....all blanks

Invest in pokertracker.
Import your hands.
Play at least 10,000 hands at a particular limit.
Analyze your play and the hand statisitics.
Post a screen shot of the results here.

I am positive it is a simple blip of variance you are suffering.
