Overall I find my cash game is my strength. I have my losing moments but overall I am consistently on the positive side at the end of the week/month.
I am working on my weak area, which is cashing in tournaments. I can limp into low payouts but that does not make it worth the hours it took to get there. A lot of the MTT's on carbon, the buy-in ones, tend to pay from 5 to 10 positions. In games like the $1,500 GTD at 22:20 I have my share of top 10 cashes, have yet to win one though which is my current goal. I have won a few of the $10 and $5 that only pay top 5, but overall have not cashed in enough to be in the black on them.
I used to do well in SNG's, a very TAG patient game. Lately that has resulted in facing bad beat after bad beat as the bubble gets near. It is frustrating having a over agressive LAG player or someone that is desperate go all-in and hit runner runner flushes or river sets and crack your Aces or dominant hand when the blinds push the action. Hopefully that bad luck changes as I know my strategy works well. I had a good period last year where I won about $300 to $600 a month playing sound SNG poker and low stake cash tables.
