THE NUTS

I've recently been playing several live tourneys and have done well. I made the final table in 4 of 6. Lately I've been getting near the money but not making it. I really feel that my TAG play is the way to go, but I need other's advice about how to loosen up when the blinds get big. I know I need to steal to stay ahead but I just can't bring myself to do it. Any advice. Also to contradict that statement is it totally necessary to loosen up. I'm just frustrated b/c I just came back from AC and practically bubbled two tourneys. I'm questioning my play because in both cases I had about the same amount of chips I started with after the third break (10,000) but in one tourney I then had 55,000 with blinds about 2k and 4 k with 300 ante. I lost a big pot with my 55 vs. A4 (aghhh) (to bad I didn't read the article in cp first about not calling with small pp's) and then in the second tourney I was playing tight and lost with AK vs. 99. Hope my ramblings made sense. Thanks

I had that same problem in some point of my poker "semi-career".
Probably ur playing too tight in the middle stages of the tourney just waiting for gold hands.
You will then need to use your position on the table, ur current stack at the moment, loosen up and pick the best spots because, your playing to place into the money and not playing to win everything.
