WSOP ME 2008 News

Well according to Danny N. the 2008 WSOP final table will be shown "kind of live".
Essentially what ESPN is going to do is make the 9 Finalists come back over 3 months later after all of the ramp up shows. This way ESPN can run all of its shows leading up to its "Live Final" table sort of. See the Final Table will play out on a Tuesday, get edited and be shown "LIve" on Wednesday.

Thoughts on its effect on the game?

Things are changing in the WSOP ME this year. For the first time when the tournament reaches 9 players the game will stop. The players will all be paid 9th place money and sent away to reconvene in November when the final table will be played to conclusion and broadcast live.

The "November Nine" are a diverse group of relative unknowns with only one or two big cashes. Freddy Deeb was quoted as saying the quality of play was like on an online "Donkament".
