I take it you want posts in the forum in general, not just in this thread?
Any head way on the site we will play on? I ask as I am pretty much on the Merge network, not sure if I can get money off in time let alone onto any other site.

We will be playing on Bodog.
The deal on the Carbon game is so sweet I don't want to mess with it. Besides Bodog's Customer Service is way better right now.
I will look every week to ensure players are posting in order to claim the weekly trophy/idol/medallion/crystal skull.....................
:D

I was praying you weren`t going to say bodog.:( I have problems getting their client to accept passwords, I`ve missed quite a few private events because of it.

I also have some weird problem on Bodog, I can't see my cashier, so it'd be quite a problem to deposit money there

it looks like bodog support's click2pay, but I remember having some problems trying to use the site in the past. I think it has to do with all of the verification they impose on users. it is also very hard to tell if they will allow me to use click2pay as I am a US player and many sites are blocking US players interna;;y even if they have a click2pay account. Merge let sme keep using click2pay. I know for sure I am not sending bodog verification info so I can try and find a credit card that might let me deposit there. Again, Merge has one of the few processors right now that US players can use for credit card deposits.

It is official we will playing on Bodog.
MNPL: Summer Classic
Starting Monday June 2nd til Monday July 28th at 8:05pm EST.
The overlay is $5
There will be a $5 bounty on me.
Each weekly winner gets a medal and an invite to a single table TOC for the trophy and $50.
The tourney is password protected so you have to post and comment here to get it.
Why Bodog?
The software interface is not like anything a regular online player is used and takes a little getting used to but it runs very smooth with very little disconnects.
US players will find it a heck of alot easier to deposit if they are patient and they actually have live support with real people on the other end of the line.
They customer service response to my requests were answered within 24 hours (Unlike the last site we used).
Last, I did not want to mess with the sweet deal on Carbon since it still runs every monday password "Superbowl".
Why not a freeroll?
Freerollers are a pain in the butt to deal with and ruin the joy of the game for newbies and any serious player. Also they are generally reserved by the major sites as a reward for bringing new players to the site. We can get a poker.com specific freeroll on Bodog but we have to have a very good showing on these microleagues.
I would like to pull in at least 30 players a week by the end of July so our sponsor will agree to host season #2.
Tell your friends, have fun and see ya at the tables.

I checked your website and did not see any affilaite links for bodog so I just signed up on my own.
My click2pay account works so I put $20 on. The interface appears to be similar to the old skins network, I haven't looked too far into it yet though.

I will be playing provided I can get a deposit ok. A bit disappointed it is not on Carbon as I still have cash there, but I'll see what I can do.
I am a bit unclear on the posting requirements. We are required to post on this forum to qualify for prizes? How much and how often?
Porkrind

A good quality post once a week should be enough to qualify for the prizes. None of these "Site site, I love poker, can I have the freeroll password please?".

I am as noobie as they get here. Found this forum because of the listing at Bodog. Looks like a lot of fun porkrind, thanks for setting this up.
I agree with you about small buyins vs freerolls...if I am in the mood for pokerlottery then I will play a FR but if I want some good competetive meeting of the poker minds, then vive le buyin!!!
Lastly, Bodog is an incredibly good site to play on. Good graphics, good pacing, great support (with real people...gasp) and they are always trying to improve things there. They will be coming out with a new software version that has been in beta testing that takes very little getting used to and is much better than what they were using before (which was pretty good!).
No, I do not work for Bodog...but I would love to go to the WSOP main event on their nickel. :D
Looking forward meeting y'all on the felt.

Sorry for the double post in the same thread. Thought I would mention my screen name at Bodog is AskDrL and not always2away, although I am usually the latter postflop and generally not receptive to questioning on the former...hmmm.

I see 6 interested members but at game time only 4 were signed up and 5 are needed to make it a go. Bummer.
Reschedule for this week or wait till next week?

That was one reason I signed up early, just in case I was running late. This wasnt the best way to kick this off.
BTW - PORK can you start a new thread agaoin for the Monday Football Madness so we can track that still? I won this evening :)

Bodog has a 5 player minimum rule for tournaments to start. Unfortunately they set the rules and since they put up the prizes and prize money they really arent going to change.
I got messages from 14 people saying they would play, sent out or posted the password openly in plenty of time for people to register......................
There are 7 more weeks and seven more chances to qualify for the trophy.

I am trying to promote this, without luck. Pretty much any froum or message board out there will not allow me to promote it due to the affiliate links involved and the tie in to this forum/site.
Last night we only had 3 players signed up so once again no game took place.
I'll keep looking for resources. Maybe I'll play some on BoDog and try to mention it to some players. Problem is getting them to meet all the criteria.

Would love to play it myself.....but due to the options I;m stuck with for the time being I'm unable to fund the site . Gotta love the software at Bodog tho....Just wish I had been playing it before I ran across funding problems on my end .

Sorry I missed it this time but that wouldn`t have made any difference anyway. I was caught up in the Summer Champs and forgot about it. The problem I have is I have to get someone to log into my account and reg for me because the client won`t accept the pw through my pc for some reason.

No I use my acc. No. which is what their support advised me to do. I can log into bodog, I just can`t enter any private games, it`s at that stage it all goes pear shaped. Tried everything, once every blue moon it accepts a pw but at times I`ve sat for literally 30 mins just re-entering a pw and it won`t accept it. Tbh the only reason I haven`t deleted the site is because I have a stack of T$ to get through.

I will keep signing up at Bodog...hard to believe we cannot get 5 people to go with this, although I have been trying to talk to a couple of buds of mine to get them interested in pursuing and they both are busy Mondays...ah well.
I have also pm'd a couple of owners of forums with a link to your blog to see if they have any interest. Have not heard anything back though.
Looking forward to trying again tonight!

The password is "Mouse" (In honor of DangerMouse)
The tourney name is MNPL: Summer Classic on Bodog.
I will keep running it every Monday since there is interest and I have seen people register.
I am going to have to put together a primer on how to navigate Bodog's software.
(Fyi, I was doing my reserve duty last week so sorry for the delayed posting.)

swervin - the password was right here, the post just before yours. We only had 3 payers so the game did not take place. hopefully with you we can get at least one more for next Monday and have the minimum of 5. See if any of your bodog buddies are interested, Also, read the rules if you want to make sure you qualify for larger overall prize available rather then just the few mucks if you cash.

Sorry everyone,
Combine two out of town business trips and a below par turnout I had to cancel the league. Better to save my time, energy and limited talent for the fall league.
Stay tuned.

I am willing to form another poker league in honor of the 2009 WSOP. I am looking for ideas and suggestions.
SITE: Pokerstars or Fulltilt
TIME: Give me a GMT that is most convenient to start.
BUY IN: No Freerolls. What is the right amount?
GAMES: Are you willing to play Omaha, Mixed, Razz?
POINT STRUCTURE: I am thinking reverse points with a final table bonus?
Start week of June 7th?
DangerMouse

Sounds good to me Pork.
Stars would be my preference but I could live with Tilt.
Time wise anything up to and including 2am GMT (9pm EST)
As for buy-ins anything between $2-$10 is ok by me.
I`m cool with any games you want to play. From NLHE to badugi I play `em all.
