Badugi is a draw poker variant similar to triple draw, but with hand values similar to lowball. The betting structure and overall play of the game is identical to a standard poker game using blinds, but, unlike traditional poker which involves a minimum of five cards, players' hands contain only four cards at any one time.

Badugi poker is an up and coming poker game that is growing quite popular amongst players that are sick of playing the same old games. It poker is a very odd game compared to the major games played online. Badugi is a lowball game draw game.

I think badugi is going to be just about as bit of a hit as 2-7. The people that actually love to play it all seem to be really good poker players in general & in essence it creates a harder than usual experience for new players to have any sort of success at.

The reason holdem is so popular is that it's easy to learn & there is a large luck factor in it. This keeps the amateur poker players coming & keeps feeding the games. I'm sure badugi will always be more popular than 5 card stud but I would like to lay some odds on it ever becoming very popular.

I don't see the game ever becoming big neither. I'm actually surprized to hear that it's more popular than 5 card stud .
