Well now , this could be fun . I used to sing and play the guitar in all the bars and honkytonks round here....but now that my voice is bout gone I can't sing fer a plugged nickel..just sounds god awful bad when I even try it does . So I figure if I was go way over there and take my old flat top with me , and make a sign, sit down ,commence to singing..that surely folk would pay me to stop . The sign would say in big bold letters ..."Will Stop For Cash !"

btw , I love that show..they are a hoot !

when I work in an office in DC a co-worker came in to the lunch room and said "I just met this poor fellow who was robbed and needed only $5 for the subway to get to the bus station where his family has wired a ticket for him so he can get back home to Kentucky."

another co-worker said "hey, I gave that guy $5 too!"
then another said "me too!"

that's 3 suckers, in ten minutes, in one office of 50, there are prolly 10,000 people out during lunch hour in this part of DC. do the math, this guy was making a fortune. (They said they believed him, because he was well dressed, clever wasn't he?)

so Antonio was using a proven strategy. As for me, I don't think I could beg for money.

So I would just stand there with a tin cup and dark shades. And make a sign that says: "Please Help" but I would cross it out with a different looking pen, and write "Stupid Bum, get a job!". as if someone else had wrote it, and of course, being a blind man, wouldn't know. This would give double guilt. blind and also abused by some uncaring soul. maybe stick some other derogatory remarks and some chewed gum on the sign too.

I just got a new laptop so I haven't been here in a while.

Finally got everything transferred and wanted to come here and say THANKS.

Got home yesterday and there was a package for me :)

took me a bit of time to figure out where it came from...as it was not anything I had ordered, but some really cool stuff.....

hmm....I wondered...then inside it, I found a pic of antonio and the unibomber for a show called "I Bet You!" and I realised where it came from.

Understand it somewhat. Then possibly a toilet break might be a way to back out without it seeming like you are quitting or taking it easy and might be more acceptable as long as you do not do it more than one time in a few hour period right?
