Headhunter tourney tactics
We used to run some popular headhunter tournaments on InterPoker a while back when we were on the Cryptologic network - but they were stopped. Now we’re with Boss and we’re glad to see they’ve brought them back!

I'm looking to adapt my play because I often feel a bit lost playing in these types of tournaments - I've been sticking to my usual tournament play TAG at start LAG as the blinds go up, but I'm tempted to mix it up a bit and go for the bounties early on with some aggressive play. I keep seeing some easy players going out in the first few rounds with nothing better than a pair. I’m interested to know how other people play them?

If you're interested IP have Satellites running daily (from €3.30) for the €15,000 Headhunter Sunday tournament - hope to knock you off the tables

Hi Benny,

Sorry for the late response.

Generally speaking, half of your buy-in becomes your bounty value. When you knock out another player you win 75% of their bounty and the other 25% is added to your bounty value!

That is with the exception of say the €10,000 headhunter tournaments where 75% of your buyin goes to the prizepool and 25% becomes your bounty value.

Cheers,

Adam
