ok..im 14 years old and i just started playing poker like last week...i went to footballcamp and before we went to sleep we would play texas hold em'. that was my first time playing and i am now ADDICTED to poker, i want to become alot better ive already memorized the card percent's, the hand rankings, or what ever their called..but i have all the basics down, does anyone have any tips?

read lots of poker books until your old enough to play poker, and oh yea...stay in school.

I am going to try to give you the best advice anyone can give you. But you will not like it.

You should stop playing poker before it's too late. You already say that you are addicted to it. That is no good. Addiction is no good. It usually doesn't lead to a good life.

You are only 14. This is the time to start checking out the girls, learn to play guitar, do something creative - not to play poker (smoke, drink, drugs or all those vices). I don't know where you live. But if you are even in a big city take a look at the bums, drunkards and burnouts. They weren't born that way. They were also 14 and had a whole future ahead of them at one point in their lives. Then, they took the wrong turn and life went downhill.

You are too young to gamble.

Do some research on Stew Unger. He too started his gambling life at a young age. He was considered the greatest poker player to have ever lived. He died while still young. He died pennyless and alone. He learned how to play poker, but he never learned how how to handle it.

I'm sorry, but I have to ban you from this forum as members at Poker.com must be over 18 years of age.

And our tip for you is that you should get outside and be active while you're still young and able! Save the poker for when you're older and only able to enjoy more leisurely pursuits.

I am sorry to hear that, you should be kept away from gambling until you are a grown up. So quit it as quickly as poosible.

We banned the kid and gave him the best advice possible. Lets hope he takes it to heart.
